Support for businesses to retain apprentices and trainees

Employ apprentices? JobTrainer could support you to pay their wages and keep your apprentices and trainees working.

Considering hiring an apprentice? Employing an Australian Apprentice can give your business real benefits. You can employ an apprentice part-time, full-time or while they are still at school. Find out if this is a good fit for your business.

The Australian Government is offering eligible small and medium businesses a wage subsidy of 50 per cent of their eligible apprentice or trainee’s wages, up to $7,000 per quarter, paid until 31 March 2021.

Businesses of any size may be able to claim the Boosting Apprenticeship Commencements wage subsidy for new or recommencing apprentices or trainees from 5 October 2020.
